Ward was born at MonroeLouisianaon 14 April1976. Monroe Christian School was her private Christian primary school. As a student in secondary school, Ward initially attended Ouachita High School. However, she was later moved to River Oaks High School during the summer immediately following her Junior year. A short time after her graduation she attended Northeast Louisiana University. Ward began modeling at the age of thirteen, leaving her school in order to relocate into New York. Her acting career started after a few years further down the line. The first time she was cast without credit in 1970s in the soap-opera All My Children. Later she was a part of the short-lived teen drama on NBC's prime time Malibu Shores.
